What each coverage means

01 / Trucking

We know transportation insurance. Whether you are a single owner-operator or a large fleet, we have specialty insurance programs designed with you in mind. Liability insurance is required by federal regulations — every carrier must carry it on every commercial auto, even leased units. It protects you when a third party is injured in an accident.

02 / Wrecker and tow

Business auto coverage designed to protect your towing business in the event of an accident, theft, injury or other damage involving your vehicles and your employees while driving insured towing company vehicles. A tow truck business is any business that earns income by towing or providing roadside repair to disabled vehicles, operating a repair facility, or performing repossession work.

03 / General liability

GL protects you from claims including bodily injury, property damage and personal injury arising from business operations that do not involve a truck. Typical examples are a slip and fall at your place of business, advertising-related exposures, and contractual exposures you may take on.

04 / Non-trucking liability

If you are under permanent lease to a motor carrier that provides your primary liability coverage, Non-Trucking Liability (NTL) covers you while you are using your truck for a non-business purpose. It kicks in on your days off — running errands, going to a game, visiting friends — and can pay for medical and other expenses tied to injuries to others, or damage to their property, that you cause. This endorsement only modifies the liability portion of your policy.
